Colombia Linarco Rodriguez

Well known for his exceptional coffees in the Cup of Excellence, farmer Linarco Rodriguez brought us this delicious anaerobic washed Tabi, which consistently scored 88+ according to our original listing. Linarco is a third-generation farmer at his family farm, Betania, in Palestina, Huila, Colombia. His family takes great pride in their farming practices, and Linarco has helped them continue advancing the quality of and respect for their coffees.

Tabi is a unique hybrid of the Timor, Bourbon, and Typica varieties. Tabi translates to “good” in Guambiano, a native Colombian dialect. This lot used a washed anaerobic process, sharing the cleanliness of a washed coffee while undergoing 40 hours of oxygen-free fermentation for an extra pop in the cup.

Rounded and sweet without being overly tart, this coffee offered notes of strawberry Pop-Tarts, dark chocolate, and cinnamon rolls. Complex, balanced, and rounded, it quickly became a team favorite and worked beautifully across brewing methods.
