A clean, approachable, and sweet washed Guatemala from the highlands of San Martin Cuchumatanes. Blackberry jam, sweet milk chocolate, and cherry pie made this offering excellent on filter and beautifully balanced as espresso, both on its own and paired with milk.

IN FOCUS: Guatemala Mejor Futuro

From Guatemala’s Todos Santos region, this coffee consisted of Bourbon, Caturra, Catuai, and Pache varieties grown in the highlands of San Martin Cuchumatanes. After depulping, it underwent 36 hours of fermentation and 10–14 days of drying until optimal moisture content was reached.

The all-women’s cooperative’s name, “mujeres luchando por un mejor futuro,” translates to “women fighting for a better future.” This offering was sourced through our importing partners’ ELLA program. ELLA means “she” and represents the resilience, strength, and determination of these women.

Our original listing recognized Ilse, Gresdi, Elionora, Rebeca, Lorena, Julia Cifuentes, and Adhani Alba among the women supported through this purchase. Their attention to detail showed up in the cup, while their work inspired women in neighboring communities to create their own paths in coffee and beyond.
